Birthday!
Today it was Dizzle's birthday, and she got lots of food! I gave her a rawhide rugby ball, and Ross gave her a packet of treats, two rawhide cigars, and a bone. To make sure Sally didn't feel left out I gave her a rawhide baseball, but Sally decided that she wanted the rugby ball insted. I mean honestly, you just can't please some people!

The Results are in!
Here are the results to the chewing competition!
Sally 1
Daisy 6
Daisy is the winner! Sorry but there isn't a prize. Both dogs lunged for chocolate once, but it wasn't counted because they didn't actually get it in their mouths!

Christmas Time!!!
Christmas is coming! Christmas is the funniest time of the year, so this blog will probably double in size over the next week or so!
Tomorrow we are putting up the decorations, very exiting! This is Daisy's first Christmas but Sally's third. I wonder how much will be destroyed this year? I am seeing how many things they each steal tomorrow , so it should be very interesting!

Accident prone or what!
My dogs are probably the most accident prone dogs you have ever heard of (That or they're just plain stupid!). Altogether we have had to rush to the vet hospital three times and had to get them out of trouble more times then I can count!
Sally has a passion for chocolate. We found this out on Christmas Eve 2006, where she somehow managed to sneak out about six chocolates and a big hollow Santa. As Sally + chocolate = very sick doggie, we phoned the vet and took her to the hospital after trying unsuccessfully to make her be sick. She was fine the next day though and we're much more careful with chocolate nowadays! Later I don't know when, Sally got her toe stuck down the plughole of out bath and she couldn't move her leg without pulling on it. Eventually we got her out, and she was very grateful!
Daisy ,as you know by now, loves eating things. One time she ate a Daffodil flower head. Bad move as - yes you got it - they're poisonous! We took her to the hospital after she had repeatedly been sick, as unlike with Sally, we didn't find out that she had eaten anything bad as my Mum when Daisy was eating it thought that only the bulb itself was poisonous and so didn't do anything. Daisy stayed at the hospital for a couple of hours so the vets could keep an eye on her and then she came home. Later that year she managed to get an inflamed eye but after the vet had checked her over and given her some eye drops that made her eye go green he said she was good to go and we took her home.
So lessons to be learned : Keep chocolate out of reach and don't let Daisy eat daffodils!
